I first met Tammy at an event put on by the MVRA in 2019. She was speaking about all things running and I couldn’t believe how uneducated I was about the sport. After that, I signed up for her Road Runners class. I learned a lot, got faster and even managed to win a few medals in my age group. Then COVID hit. To stay active, she invited me to join her Fit2Be workouts which she held outdoors. I showed up with my 2lb hand weights the first day... I had no idea what to expect! It was challenging to start but I haven’t looked back since. I currently attend her twice weekly CrossFit classes, her Tuesday morning fitness classes, and an occasional Road Runners class, and have even added in some personal training with her. She knows what my body can do and pushes me to get stronger. And I have switched out my 2lb weights for something heavier!
Besides doing something good for my body, the camaraderie and accountability of showing up and meeting some awesome people far outweigh any fear or doubt I had. I can see how I’ve changed, both physically and mentally, over the last 5 years working with Tammy. At my age, I need to prioritize working out and staying healthy so I will be around for a while, and she makes it fun! - Lisa
When I first met with Coach Tammy to discuss my plan I told her I just need more energy that was my main goal to feel better for myself and to be able to keep up with my 3 boys. I promised myself 3 months when I started in October 2023. 10 months later I have been working out 5 days a week every week! I started with personal training 1:1. I cried and felt defeated but continued to show up for myself. 10 months later I have joined in on group classes, programmed workouts on vacation and feel so much better when I move my body. I have made so much progress physically and mentally and I could not have done it without Coach Tammy and the community she has provided. I have energy, I look forward to working out and my boys see me taking the time for myself and have started to compare their muscles with mine. I am so thankful to be here and I cannot wait to see more progress. -Renee
Tammy and Fit2Be are the reasons for my love of running and fitness:-) From your first Roadrunners class 12 years ago, you inspired me to become Fit and to strive to want to be a better and faster runner. I learned that it takes strength and power to be a good runner, not just the number of miles logged. Also, the friendships made during these 12 years are priceless and irreplaceable! I went from "I have to run" at class to "I get to run" and I still feel that way 12 years later!! You're the best Tammy! - Liz Pregler
When Tammy encouraged me to consider running and taking a class - I was in total disbelief that, at my vintage and lack of that skill, that I could reach a goal of running a 5K! I took her running class and did all the hard work and actually earned a medal in my age bracket in a 5K race. It was worth all the hard work! I still can't believe I did it! I believe it's important to do the proper training and be with others experiencing the same misery and pain during the early stages and the great sense of accomplishment from hanging in there and doing something that I thought was just for "real" runners! - Bev Haberman
I started my Journey with Tammy in 2013. I had no idea about Fitness. That summer I did my first 10K. In 2014 she helped me train for my first half marathon. Now 7 half marathons to full marathons later, she continues to push me in ways I would never push myself. To me Tammy is more than a personal trainer she is a supporter who is always there for her clients. She pushes people outside their comfort level and always has a smile on her face when she says I told you you could do that. Every time I leave class it's with a smile on my face, pain in my body, and can't wait to come back for more. Thanks for being amazing and always believing in me when I couldn't. - Codi Jasper
I have been training with Tammy for the past 12 years, and have followed her wherever she goes, and have attended every course she has offered. She is a natural leader and educator, who has mastered the ability to push you to your limit, provide TLC when it's needed, and accommodate everyone's abilities while providing inspiration and motivation to everyone she serves. She's smart, strong, always positive and has a unique sense of humor and a beautiful smile. - Ann Butzier
